The BHW40-8 is a 40-ton super-large diesel wheeled material handler powered by a Cummins QSB7-C227 diesel engine, delivering 169 kW at 2050 rpm with a 425 L fuel tank. It offers strong power and extended endurance, engineered for high-intensity bulk material handling in large-scale work environments.

The hydraulic system features dual-pump confluence with a maximum flow of 2×280 L/min and 32 MPa operating pressure, with a 325 L hydraulic oil tank ensuring smooth compound movements, abundant gripping force, and reliable, stable operation. The slewing system delivers a maximum speed of 8.5 r/min for steady, efficient cycles.

The wheeled undercarriage features a two-speed travel system: first gear at 5.0 km/h for heavy-load tractive effort, and second gear at 19.0 km/h for rapid relocation, with 32% gradeability to handle varied terrain. Equipped with a 5-tine semi-closed orange peel grab of 0.6 m³ capacity with 360° rotation, a 9,600 mm boom and 7,300 mm stick, the extended boom delivers an unprecedented working envelope — maximum grabbing reach of 17,458 mm and height of 15,716 mm, with depth of 7,460 mm — all the largest in the wheeled series.
