The WZY48-8 is a 48-ton super-heavy-duty diesel tracked material handler, the diesel flagship of the series, powered by a Cummins QSB6.7-C260 diesel engine delivering 201 kW at 2000 rpm with a 494 L fuel tank — engineered for high-intensity continuous operation in the largest-scale work environments.

Its hydraulic system features dual-pump confluence with a maximum flow of 2×280 L/min and 30 MPa operating pressure. Hydraulic pilot control ensures smooth compound movements and strong gripping force, while the substantial 565 L hydraulic oil tank fully maintains thermal balance for sustained heavy-duty stability.

The tracked undercarriage provides low ground pressure and excellent mobility across diverse terrain. A two-speed travel system (2.9 / 5.0 km/h), 7.7 r/min slewing speed, and 21 s working cycle deliver dependable heavy-duty performance. Equipped with a 5-tine semi-closed orange peel grab of 1.0 m³ capacity, an 8,600 mm boom and 6,500 mm stick, the extended boom delivers an unprecedented working envelope — maximum grabbing reach of 16,181 mm, height of 13,474 mm, and depth of 7,803 mm, all the largest in the entire series.
